In the Netherlands, the rules for crowdfunding are laid down in the Financial Supervision Act (Wft) and the Crowdfunding Code of Conduct. The maximum investment amount for private investors in crowdfunding in the Netherlands is currently set at €80,000 per year. This amount applies per individual investor and applies to both loans and shares in crowdfunding projects.
In November this year, legislation in this area will change, distinguishing between "professional investors" and "non-professional investors".
