More and more money is flowing through crowdfunding. In the first half of 2018, a whopping €154 million was raised. That is 55% more compared to a year earlier. With the current growth, over EUR 1 billion per year is expected to be raised in three years' time.
Enterprises raised the most money at EUR 138 million in the first half of this year. This corresponds to 90% of the total. This includes 1343 companies, each of which raised an average of €103,000 through crowdfunding. Companies mainly use loans to raise money.
